Yes - Mercedes-Benz engines are over-engineered by design, and the factory ECU strategy leaves meaningful headroom on boost, timing and fuelling. AMG models like the C43 and GLC 43 share engine architecture with higher-output variants (the C63 and GLC 63), which tells you the hardware can handle significantly more than the standard tune allows. A conservative Stage 1 remap works within those limits, and we datalog the result to confirm safe air-fuel ratios and exhaust temperatures.
Not always required, but often beneficial. The 9G-Tronic is a capable gearbox, but its factory shift logic is tuned for comfort and fuel economy. After an engine remap, the transmission can feel slow to respond to the extra torque. Diesel models like the C220d or GLE 300d gain 40–70Nm of torque, which makes a noticeable difference at motorway speeds and when towing.
