Professional Mercedes-Benz Performance Tuning
If you have a specific question regarding your Mercedes-Benz that is not answered here, please give us a call or submit the enquiry form because we can help - we will assist you personally.
Yes - Mercedes-Benz engines are over-engineered by design, and the factory ECU strategy leaves meaningful headroom on boost, timing and fuelling. AMG models like the C43 and GLC 43 share engine architecture with higher-output variants (the C63 and GLC 63), which tells you the hardware can handle significantly more than the standard tune allows. A conservative Stage 1 remap works within those limits, and we datalog the result to confirm safe air-fuel ratios and exhaust temperatures.
Not always required, but often beneficial. The 9G-Tronic is a capable gearbox, but its factory shift logic is tuned for comfort and fuel economy. After an engine remap, the transmission can feel slow to respond to the extra torque. A TCU tune sharpens shift timing, improves torque converter lockup and adjusts the shift map to work with the new power delivery. We assess on a case-by-case basis depending on how you drive the car.
A C200 or GLC 200 with the M264 2.0T engine typically gains 30–45kW and 70–100Nm on Stage 1. A C300 or GLC 300 can see 40–55kW more. AMG C43 and GLC 43 models gain 50–70kW, which is a significant improvement in real-world punch. Diesel models like the C220d or GLE 300d gain 40–70Nm of torque, which makes a noticeable difference at motorway speeds and when towing.
No - preserving that refinement is central to how we calibrate Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The extra power comes through improved mid-range response rather than a harsh, aggressive delivery. In most cases, owners describe the tuned car as smoother and more effortless rather than aggressive. If anything, the reduced need to downshift and press harder on the throttle makes motorway driving more relaxed.
