Yes - the 2.0T GME is a modern turbocharged engine with solid internals and conservative factory calibration. Stage 1 tuning stays within safe boost, timing and AFR limits, and we log knock activity and boost response before delivering the final tune. The Wrangler is specifically used in demanding off-road scenarios, so we calibrate with reliability and sustained load performance firmly in mind, not just peak output.
Yes - and this is one of the most practical benefits of tuning a Wrangler or Grand Cherokee. The factory throttle mapping in low range can be jerky and imprecise, making slow-speed rock crawling harder than it needs to be. A good calibration smooths throttle response significantly in these conditions while also providing more torque when you need to push through difficult terrain.
